9-Day Tangier Tour: Imperial Cities & Beaches

Day 1 – Arrival in Tangier
Welcome to the vibrant gateway to Morocco! On arrival at Tangier’s airport you’ll be met by our friendly team and transferred to your hotel. If time allows, we’ll begin exploring Tangier’s scenic bay, buzzing medina, and lively souks — setting the tone for your adventure.

Day 2 – Tangier → Tétouan
We begin with Tangier’s iconic sights: Cape Spartel, the legendary Caves of Hercules, then the modern town centre and colourful souks. After lunch, we drive to Tétouan — a UNESCO-recognised medina — where you’ll stroll its old-city lanes, visit its archaeological museum, and enjoy its relaxed seaside setting.

Day 3 – Tétouan → Chefchaouen → Fès
This morning we head inland to the enchanting “Blue City” of Chefchaouen. Wander through its winding, white-and-blue alleys before journeying through scenic countryside to Fès, arriving in time to settle into your riad in the heart of the historic medina.

Day 4 – Fès City Tour with Local Guide
Dive deep into Fès-el-Bali, one of the world’s great medieval cities. Guided visits include the 9th-century University of Al Qarawiyyine, the ornate Attarine Madrasa, the wooden-carving district near the Nejjarine Fountain, and the iconic tannery workshops. Afternoon panoramic views from the city towers complete the experience.

Day 5 – Fès → Volubilis → Meknès → Rabat
We take a road through ancient and modern Morocco: explore the Roman ruins of Volubilis, then the imperial city of Meknès with its grand gates and mausoleums. In the afternoon we arrive in Rabat, the country’s political heartbeat, where you’ll visit the Royal Palace grounds, Kasbah Oudayas, and Hassan Tower.

Day 6 – Rabat → Casablanca → Marrakech
Today offers a taste of Morocco’s broader rhythm: Casablanca’s sweeping Corniche, the monumental Hassan II Mosque, and the upscale Anfa district. We then drive south into Marrakech, arriving in the evening to soak up its sunset atmosphere.

Day 7 – Marrakech City Tour
Discover Marrakech’s magic with visits to: Menara Gardens, the towering Koutoubia Mosque, the 16th-century Saadian Tombs, the opulent Bahia Palace, and the vibrant Jemaa el-Fna square. You’ll wander the souks, meet leatherworkers, and simmer in the scent of spice and oud.

Day 8 – Day Trip to Essaouira
A relaxing change of pace: our coastal excursion to Essaouira (once Mogador). Explore the Portuguese-style ramparts, stroll the artisan-filled medina, and enjoy a fresh-fish lunch by the sea. Afterwards, stroll the beach or browse the charming markets before returning to Marrakech.

Day 9 – Departure
After breakfast, we’ll transfer you to either Marrakech or Casablanca airport (depending on your route) and say farewell — your Moroccan odyssey ends, but the memories linger.
