8 days Imperial City and desert from Casablanca

Day 1: Arrival to Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes
Visit Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, then continue to Rabat to see Chellah, Hassan Tower, and Mohamed V Mausoleum. Proceed to Meknes for overnight stay.

Day 2: Meknes – Volubilis – Fes
Explore Meknes’ granary Sahrij Swani, Bab Mansour gate, and the sultan’s mausoleum. Visit Roman archaeological site of Volubilis. End the day in Fes.

Day 3: Fes
Guided tour of Fes Medina, tanneries, pottery cooperative, Moulay Idriss mausoleum, Royal Palace exterior, and Jewish quarter. Option for dinner show with belly dancers. Overnight in riad.

Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga Desert
Travel across Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane and cedar forest of Azrou to spot monkeys. Continue through Midelt and Ziz Valley to Merzouga.

Day 5: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges – Palm Groves of Skoura – Ouarzazate
Depart Merzouga for Todra Gorges, explore Dades Valley, Rose Valley, and palm groves of Skoura. Overnight in Ouarzazate.

Day 6: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Telouet – Marrakech
Visit Taourirte Kasbah, Ait Ben Haddou (UNESCO World Heritage site), Telouet Kasbah, then drive across Tizi-n-Tichka Pass to Marrakech.

Day 7: Marrakech
Guided city tour of Marrakech: Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, souks, Majorelle Garden, and Jamaa El Fna Square. Overnight in riad.

Day 8: Marrakech – Casablanca
Transfer to Marrakech or Casablanca airport for departure, ending your 8-day imperial city and desert journey in Morocco.
